Though an ancient practice, the use of yoga by the mainstream population in the US and abroad increases each year, and there are more and more medical studies looking at how yoga can help various medical conditions.
However, there are many different “types” of yoga out there, and various studios/ teachers teach very different practices.
Not all of these practices are safe for everybody!
With over 50 yoga studios in Rhode Island, it is very hard to know where to start and how to tell the difference between these practices.
